Annual Congress 2008
Much beyond our expectations, we were honored to have welcomed 157 members of the global LGBT community in Montreal, our host city, which meant a 50% increase on what we had originally expected.
The congress had a definite international flavor, counting with the presence of several European and North American countries as well as a remarkable presence of leaders from the province of Quebec and the city of Montreal.
We thank all our partners who generously contributed to the success of the event. Also, a warm thanks to all speakers who shared in abundance of their experience and knowledge.
The IGLCC congratulates also the recipients of its first awards and it is honored to have had their presence and support during its first year.
As we look ahead, we are excited to reaffirm the work already under way on three important pillars of our strategic planning. They are the International LGBT Business Data Base in partnership with IBM, the International Business Equality Index in partnership with ING and the Market Research Development (starting in the countries where the IGLCC is currently present) in partnership with BC3 Strategies/Double Platinum.
We thank all for joining us in Montreal as we celebrated our first year during our first Annual Congress.
